GOOGLE

I think that as Google is such a popular and forever demanding service on the internet, it is sensible to assume that it is a factor that contributes to a decrease in the demand of newspapers. I think in order to read a newspaper there is a shoe-leather cost involved which means that consumers may be reluctant to go out and purchase the item just to consume it; especially when most people of this generation have a far more efficient substitute known as the internet. I think people find it easier to go on to Google and just search news topics that they are most passionate about reading as this is much quicker and may satisfy the consumer more efficiently.

I do not think that Google wanted to make newspaper firms suffer but i think that Google is promoting technology of the future, and as we can only plan for the future, newspapers seem less attractive to the upcoming generation because they may see digital media as a more interactive form of interpreting the news. I think that it is because of internet which is an open platform that gives the public to upload user generated content is the reason that newspapers are becoming less demanding.
